The Most Anticipated Movies of 2018

With all the great movies that came out in 2017 including Get Out, Dunkirk, Wonder Women, and even a new Star Wars film, it is fascinating to think of what great films are in store for 2018. Today I’ll be covering some of the movies that are the most anticipated by the general public in 2018.

  1. The 15:17 to Paris

The film stars three young Americans who thwarted the terrorist attack on a train bound for Paris. The film stars the actual heroes that were there on the train the day the attack was attempted. Look forward to this release on Friday, February 9, 2018.

2. Black Panther

Chadwick Boseman stars as T’Challa/Black Panther in another installment of the Marvel cinematic universe, getting fans ready for the summer blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War. The film is based on the events of Captain America: Civil War and takes place in the fictional African nation of Wakanda. T’Challa is threatened by two enemies who conspire to bring down his kingdom. He then has to team up with CIA agent Everett K. Ross and the members of the Dora Milaje. The films release date is scheduled for Friday, February 16, 2018.

  1. Annihilation

In this drama/sci-fi adaptation, Natalie Portman plays the role of a biologist who’s in search of answers to her husband’s disappearance. She and her expedition team go deep into a sealed off area by the government that has been like that for the last 30 years. There is a secretive agency that has been sending expeditions into area x for the last 11 years without any results. Catch this film at your local theater when it comes out on Friday, February 23, 2018.

  1. A Wrinkle in Time

This Disney film focuses on Meg Sturm (Played by Storm Reid) who is searching for her scientist father who has disappeared. Her journey takes her across various planets with a schoolmate and her younger brother. The film is set for release on Friday, March 9, 2018.

  1. Ready Player One

In the fictional virtual world named Oasis, a teenager ends up competing in a high stakes treasure hunt after the founder of the game dies and in turn offers up his fortune as the grand prize. This film directed by Steven Spielberg will surely not disappoint and is due out for release on Friday, March 30, 2018.  

  1. Avengers: Infinity War

In one of the most anticipated films in recent memory, you are not going to want to miss this summer blockbuster. The Avengers and their superhero friends must defeat the powerful being Thanos. The end of the world is upon us if the Avengers are not able to defeat the being. Check this movie out in theaters Friday, May 4, 2018.

  1. Deadpool 2

Ryan Reynolds is back in this second installment of the Deadpool franchise. This time he battles the yakuza, ninjas, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines. Check out this summer blockbuster at your local theater Friday, May 18, 2018.

  1. Incredibles 2

This movie has been anticipated since the release of the first Incredibles in 2004. This time the Incredibles family must team up with Frozone played by Samuel L. Jackson to defeat a new villain. Films release date is set at Friday, June 15, 2018.
