There is no doubt that the journey to sponsor a refugee family has inspired many and brought people closer together.
Located in the heart of Waterloo and between two universities, WCI is surrounded by a vast selection of dining opportunities ranging from fast food to upscale restaurants. Finding a healthy, inexpensive option can sometimes be a challenge.
Instead of saying “Trick or Treat,” students say “Trick or Eat!” Instead of requesting candy, “trick-or-eaters” request non-perishable food items.
The gyms at WCI were full of excitement on the evening of October 28th, 2015. The second ELL Sports Night of the school year was well underway and much better attended than the first.
“Battle represented the competitiveness and putting schools against each other, whereas spirit includes everyone and is more about the school spirit. Essentially, Battle is the game and Spirit is the event.”
“The best part of it was the game,” said Jiayi J., an member of Student Council who helped to run the evening. “People got to know lots about each other and had fun taking the pictures!”
